Organizing next level-up training on advanced level of Information Technology for primary school teachers

Intec Company has been selected to “Organize next level-up training on advanced level of Information Technology for primary school teachers” component of the “Education for all – Fast track initiative partnership” grant program jointly implemented by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science of Mongolia and the Catalytic Fund.

The scope of the work includes the following:

1) conducting survey among primary school teachers on their level of knowledge of ICT and their demands and needs of ICT training;

2) develop a five days of training course to conduct advanced “level-up” ICT for the primary school teachers;

3) develop a self-study material to help the teachers improve their ICT knowledge, to prepare and run classes using ICT tools.

4) develop and distribute e-learning material;

5) design a workshop program, mapping and schedule for the national, regional and school level training and organize 3 stage of the training.

6) conduct monitoring and evaluation in the selected aimags, soums.
Intec Company has partnered with TokyoTech University to conduct monitoring and evaluation in selected aimags and soums.

The following activities were implemented so far within this project:

2. Teachers’ self-study manual was developed and delivered to FTI project August 1, 2009
3. Training program and plan for organizing “level-up” training on advanced level of ICT for primary school teachers was developed and approved by Mr. D. Erdenechimeg, director of General education department of Ministry of Education, Culture and Science of Mongolia August 2, 2009
4. Training of national trainers was organized in Ulaanbaatar, involving over 60 methodologists from 21 aimags and 9 districts of Ulaanbaatar August 3 – 7, 2009
5. Training of trainers at regional levels was organized in 5 aimag centers and 2 districts of Ulaanbaatar, involving over 180 methodologists and teachers August 10 – 14, 1009
6. Training of mentor teachers from 594 schools of Mongolia, organized in 21 aimags and 9 districts of Ulaanbaatar, involving over 1782 teachers August 17 – 21, 2009
7. Teachers’ self-study manual was revised and delivered for review by external experts August 28, 2009
