Monitoring and evaluation of SPADE project in Zavkhan province

The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) in Mongolia has implemented Sustained Poverty Reduction through Agricultural Development (SPADE) project in 7 soums of Zavkhan aimag since 2008.

In December 2012, the research team of Leading Researchers NGO has been engaged by ADRA to conduct impact evaluation of the SPADE project.

The impact evaluation of SPADE project has been conducted with the purpose to measure the impact, effectiveness and sustainability of SPADE project vis-à-vis the socio-economic position and physical well-being of project beneficiaries. The research team of Leading Researchers visited to 6 soums of Zavkhan aimag randomly selected from SPADE project and conducted interviews with representatives of local government, citizens representative khural, cooperatives and general public.

​ The results of interviews and site visits have been integrated into the Impact evaluation of SPADE project report, which has been delivered to ADRA office. The report contained not only the findings from site visits, but also recommendations for next phase of project to be implemented by ADRA. The recommendations were taken by ADRA and integrated into the next phase project documents and activities.
