Automation of the 2012 national election

In early 2012, Intec LLC played a key role in delivering Mongolia’s first e-voting system. The Mongolian General Election Committee (GEC) worked with American company called Dominion Voting and a local companies  Interactive LLC, Intec LLC to deliver this project in Mongolia.

Intec provided some of the project management responsibilities which included managing staff activities, stakeholder engagement and budgeting for the project. Our staff involved technical training to over 60 technicians in the areas of 2500 ImageCast Precinct (ICP) tabulators testing that GEC had bought from our American counterparts and were involved in testing ICP machines. This involved managing the triple-test of each machine to ensure workability and sound operation during the course of the election process.

Intec also took part in training to 130 Government IT specialists in the use of GEC and managed the training of over 2600 poll workers around the country.

On the Election Day, Intec played a key support role where we worked in a call centre to receive emergency calls from around the country. We were a key point of contact for troubleshooting and general enquires for all stakeholders.
